Are you a skilled Boiler Operator with a passion for tackling complex industrial challenges? Brookwood Finishing, the Rhode Island manufacturing branch of Brookwood Companies, is looking for talented individuals like you to join our dynamic team. In our expansive 300,000-square-foot facility, you’ll work with cutting-edge equipment in contributing to the dyeing, finishing, coating, and printing of advanced woven synthetic fabrics.

Core Responsibilities
• Perform frequent inspection checks and regular maintenance on boiler systems and related valves, gauges, piping, and other equipment.
• Constantly inspect water, gas, and other fluid levels inside boilers and related equipment, making adjustments to fluids as necessary to keep systems operating at peak levels.
• Repair piping, valves, and other boiler machinery as needed.
• Replace defective valves, gauges, and other boiler parts as needed.
• Record daily gas readings, feed water tests, and other test results.
• Adjust valves and boiler controls as needed to control the amount of pressure in the system and keep the boiler system functioning safely.
• Keep boiler room, related facilities, and work areas clean and organized at all times.
• Read and follow blueprints, operations manuals, and instructions to perform scheduled maintenance and make repairs to boiler systems.
Abilities Required:
• Read, speak and write English
• Ability to perform work at extreme heights and in tight confined spaces
• High degree of mechanical aptitude who work in physically demanding environments.
• Able to work in the most extreme conditions environments, including hot, cold, wet, and steamy environments
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent problem-solving and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in a team environment and independently
Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating industrial boilers, preferred
• Good grasp of mathematics and ability to make quick calculations
• Experience with power tools and hand tools
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the work site

Pay: $24.90 – $27.40 per hour
