Position Overview – Maintenance Mechanic (3rd Shift)

You’ll be responsible for a wide range of industrial mechanical tasks, from equipment installation to troubleshooting and repairs—all while adhering to OSHA regulations and the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform both corrective and preventive maintenance, efficiently addressing minor and major equipment breakdowns.
  • Operate a range of industrial repair tools and equipment, including welding gear, power tools, and specialized machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex industrial systems involving mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, steam, and hydraulic components.
  • Conduct setup and calibration of machinery and other technical systems.
  • Operate boilers as needed, with proficiency in standard boiler chemical testing.

Qualifications

    • Experience & Knowledge: Practical expertise in mechanical systems, with hands-on skills in assembling and aligning gears, bearings, motors, and shafts.
    • Tools & Technique: Bring your own tool set and a keen understanding of industrial repair equipment, maintaining tools in top-notch condition.
    • Attention to Detail: Proficient with shop mathematics, blueprints, charts, and technical documentation.
    • Adaptability: Capable of working at heights, on ladders or platforms, and in confined spaces as necessary.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Background in manufacturing and hands-on mechanical and industrial repair.
  • Prior experience in textile, paper, or web processing is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.70 – $23.63 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
